"Do you REALLY have friends that know so much about this stuff?"
Yes, I really do! My job and location give me the opportunity to meet all kinds of people. I have tons of friends, and I'm not bragging. Even more acquaintances, who are easy to get stories out of. And my closer friends also have similar connections. It is, in fact, my job and the people who I've met who brought me to this site in the first place, as well as a somewhat bitter encounter with a former friend.
"Hmm. I don't trust you."
That's fine, you don't have to. I'd actually encourage people to not trust others on here--not to make it a bad place, but rather just ask for sources instead of believing everything they say. You'd think it wouldn't happen in a place like this but take one look and it's all "he said, she said".
"Well then, where's your sources?"
My friends, coworkers, and acquaintances. Not a great source for others but they are all very honest people. And I'm trained in body language reading. So I usually know when they're lying. And they know I know so they don't bother.
"Let me guess, your uncle works at Nintendo."
Sadly no, but if you know anyone's uncle who does, could you maybe ask them when the next Animal Crossing game is coming out?
"So you are a K-Pop fan eh? Who's your favorite group?"
Hmm, let me think about it Twice.
"You really know K-Pop idol XYZ?"
Yep! For most only in passing/through one person who works in the industry not as an idol, but there is one I'm kinda sorta friends with. This person is lovely and definitely not a Satanist. I believe I've mentioned who it is in the past but for their privacy I want to keep it on the down low.
"I still don't believe you."
I mean really, you shouldn't.
"Are you a shill? Are you a Satanist? Are you a Russian spy? Do you work for the CIA/FBI? Are you friends with Satanists? Do you think the Earth is flat?"
NO.
