What's standard proteins?I draw the line at how hungry I am. Today, standard proteins. Tomorrow, maybe dog.
Poultry, bovine, swine, etc. What's standard proteins?
Ah ok. It's fine. I used to eat animals, too. My choice is mostly health based, but also moral to some degree. I feel pain to think about killing other feeling and thinking souls. They are so nice and kind. They want to live. These days I'm not really hungry, there's plenty plant-based food around. So it's very easy to be a vegan. I saw huge improvement in overall health and energy level since becoming vegan.Poultry, bovine, swine, etc.

interesting!!!! I didn't know there's a similar thread. Wheat is awful. I beleive it was engineered genetically by ETs whose blood was based on copper and not iron hemoglobin molecule. So it's bad for us humans.im a vegetarian.
however, i dont take the moral high ground, giving meat eaters an earful of hell about it.
its been shown that plants have feelings and can sense emotion. you just cannot hear the scream.
ive come to the conclusion that you can morally eat whatever you like as long as you kill the organism humanely. its my opinion that if you have your own chickens and kill em quick or shoot your own deer and can do it without the animal feeling pain, then you have as clear a conscience as a vegan. often, we buy from the grocer/supermarket and have no idea how it was harvested/slaughtered. just do your best and be conscious of your choices since animals are living a miserable life (in most cases), being abused, and beaten before making it to your plate.
theres another thread on this where weve gone into further detail...
i think vegans must supplement their diet for it to work.
FTR, i didnt notice any change in energy level with the switchover. i DID notice a change when i dumped wheat from the diet.
theres at least 3 threads floating around in the same vein. the one i was recalling has a long back-and-forth debate with mecca arguing for vegans long term health sustainability.interesting!!!! I'm sorry to hear about that.. I wish for you good health ..Long long time lurker, just joined to comment on this.
Look - I was vegetarian for 7 or 8 years and vegan for about 2. You know what I ended up with? An autoimmune disease in which I cannot consume any grains or lecithins without having serious issues. I also have to cut back WAY back on soy products as well. What does that leave with me with? Pretty much a more restricted Paleo diet. Am I happy with it? No. But that is life. I can either have my immune system attack certain organs or I can avoid consuming the foods that can the inflammation and calm my system down.
While I'm not 'allergic' but reactions I have to consuming gluten and lecithins cause serious bloating, my joins to ache, edema in my feet and my face to swell up and it takes weeks for it to go down.
Vegan/Vegetarian may be great for you, but it royally screwed my system over. Autoimmune diseases are currently on the rise and are becoming more and more common. I was once like you - thought vegetarian and vegan was the healthiest out there until I realized it made my body attack it's own organs.

A better source is eating fortified foods or taking supplements. It's easy to get enough b12 if you do one of those.hope you eating enough seaweed to get the b vitamin you cant get xcept from dairy! just watch out for the ocean's mercury levels!
i know i'm being snarky b/c for me the need to do so proves that the diet is not right. im just very pro dairyA better source is eating fortified foods or taking supplements. It's easy to get enough b12 if you do one of those.
wow definitely need more FAT in your diet that should help your hair grow!I was vegan for 2,5 years. I now have a healthier colon as a result (lol), weaker muscles, less physical endurance AND my hair is ruined for life. TT_TT
My hair became so dry during my vegan stunt that I can't even comb it, because it dreads like crazy, and it's been falling and falling and I'm afraid it won't stop until it's all gone.
I've heard great things about collagen peptides for hair growth and health. You could also try eating lots of gelatinous homemade bone broth for the collagen.I was vegan for 2,5 years.
