The meat satisfied some kind of deficiency, I bet. Did you get the good stuff.. grass fed, or whatever? No antibiotics, etc. Did you introduce something else with it? Not trying to be nosy, but there may be something in there somewhere that disagrees with you, aside from the meat-- would be good if you could find a happy medium.
Yeah so I wasn't eating the best quality meat, nonetheless it didn't really do much for me except maybe replace some of the stuff which was deficient before from eating basically vegan for quite a while. I think I've found a happy medium, vegetarianism with eggs and cheese, I figure the cheese isn't so bad even if it has rennet in it as that's basically just using stuff that would otherwise be thrown away.

It didn't make me feel any worse either, except for the sense every time I looked at a piece of meat of the violence and waste involved in making it.

Yeah those weakling vegans lol

Farris said: "You can replace [meat with pulses and vegetables], and it can taste amazing, and be better for your body — it’ll help with recovery, reduce stress and inflammation in the body. We shouldn’t get so caught up with 'protein, protein, protein.' Because you can get an excess of protein, and most of it just gets passed through the body."
That is one person.

However, he is correct, in what I bolded, above, as well as the "excess"issue. BUT... it goes both ways. When people switch to a vegetarian or Vegan diet, they could be cutting out a food allergy, or just a food that does not agree with them-- so it stands to reason, they would feel great, initially. It's a great way to figure out what may need to be eliminated from your diet (like @shankara ). Although good results can be seen in the beginning, Vegan diets, long-term, can be dangerous.

Vegetarian diets are a different animal, entirely, though-- so to speak. They are not as restrictive-- as such, they can be a viable alternative imo.

I'd be willing to believe there is something of a vegan agenda. A few who promote a vegan/vegetarian lifestyle feel that strongly in the supremacy of not eating animal flesh, I think they'd attempt to pass laws to enforce a plant-based diet.

Let's be honest here though, humans have an unholy addiction to roasted animal flesh. Factory farming is not healthy for us or the environment. Look at the cost to the US medical system. In the modern world we have so many options, yet people are still hooked on low quality fats and sugars. Clean foods cost very little and access to them should be a human right
I agree-- factory farming is not healthy for anyone. It is inhumane on more than one level. Bad practice though shouldn't be confused with bad diet-- it isn't *that* much more expensive to buy from smaller companies that do it, properly.

Are you sure?? I think for most, eating clean is a luxury as the cost of buying decent produce isn't little. Especially when you have mouths to feed...

I agree that access to clean foods should be a right though...

I have been vegan for 4/5 years, previously i was vegetarian for like 7 years. I do it for the animals, i love them and i just can't think about the slaughter and what they go through.
I have very low iron, im taking iron pills (not proud about taking pharma stuff, but my doc told me is the fastest way to increase my iron)
Here in my country healthy food and organic is super super expensive, so i try to do my best.
Regarding the vegan agenda yes, i started to realize something going on... for example, joa*uin phoe*ix and his gf actress promoting veganism all the time mmm suspicious, we know they are part of the hollyweird cult so...

Would any vegan here also enforce a vegan diet on a pet such as a dog or cat?

I have both and they eat meat. My cat eats dry food and my dog i used to buy her meat but then i felt gross doing that so she eats my parents' meat leftovers (i rescued her from the streets so she loves leftovers instead of the dry food i buy to her hah) and every now and then i ask my father to buy some meat for her.

Animals can't be vegans and i mean, it's my choice to be vegan i can't decide for them, but yeah i know a few people that doesn't give meat to their pets.

My dad only went on a Vegan diet because he got tired of taking Insulin. Now, since he doesn't need to take insulin anymore, he's eating Fish and Eggs again. He doesn't do any meats like Beef, Pork, Chicken.

Now Veganism as a culture doesnt make sense, meaning those that won't have anything to do with Animal products. Those people on the pictures are the extreme kind that don't even bother taking vitamins for the nutrients they lack, or know the nutrient value of certain vegetables.

The Diet isn't all too bad for Unhealthy people. But as always, go to a nutrionist to see what kind of Diet is right for You as all diets don't work for everyone.

By clean I meant nothing but whole organic fruits, vegetables, legumes, and grains. It can be a pain but preparing meals from scratch is the only economically viable possibility for many of us. Organic brown rice is $2.50/lb.= 8-11 cups of cooked rice... that's a lot of rice IMO.

If you go to the grocery store with exact meals in mind, without spending on goodies like chips and granola bars or any pre-made crap... it's astounding how little you can spend. The problem is we've lost our ancestral cooking habits. I live mostly on salad, beans and rice, or vegetables and rice. Soup is excellent because of the limitless possibilities. Shopping like this even a low income person can afford to mix in some cashews or fruit for smoothies, etc.

You could probably feed a family for a week for what it costs (that family) to go out to eat just one time.

Even if given the opportunity to eat clean foods, most people would still eat the same garbage anyway. Some don't have access but I can't feel bad for the people who willingly choose to ruin their health.

Plant-based eating goes right back to Adam and Eve (Genesis 1:29). Meat eating only came in when things went wrong. Read 'The China Study' for a really good scientific explanation. I'm 63, and have been following a plant- based diet for ten years. I'm slightly heavier than I'd like to be, but that's because the food is so delicious! I never get colds or flu, and I haven't been to the doctor for years, apart from a heart check, and I was given a clean bill of health.

God likes meat eating.
That is clear in the bible.

The story of Cain and Able shows how much god likes meat and doesn't like farming.

Also there is something during the exodus where god really, really likes the smell of meat.

Furthermore, god (or evolution) has given us the bodies, digestion and dentition of omnivores.
In the same way he made dogs as carnivores, and sheep as herbivores.

Willingly could be subjective though..... many simply dont know how to eat properly.

I dont think eating meat is forbidden expect by clearly stated dietary laws.... I just think it ok for people to be vegan also. Lets be honest, most of the "meat" consumed by people living in the 1st world aint natural or even healthy. But as far as back then, they had many animals, they just didnt eat them correct? Im no authority on the subject.....
