In fact the Bible prophesies that "spiritual perverts" will try to twist it, so no surprise there-
"If anyone preaches a perverted gospel they're accursed" (Gal 1:6-9)
"Ignorant people distort things, to their own destruction" (2 Pet 3:16/17)

Another thing- they don't seem to try twisting the Koran and other religious texts, perhaps that's because they know Christianity is the only religion that matters, hence all their fury is turned on it alone..

It is certainly clear that later in Leviticus and Deuteronomy there was swine in the land, and that God declared swine unlawful to eat or touch because it was unclean. It is obvious that there is swine in the land now, and that it continues to be unclean. We now have an overwhelming amount of data which proves that eating pig meat is unhealthy and dangerous. Remember, right at the start of the Bible God says- "Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you, even as the green herb I have given you all things" (Genesis 9:3)

So when he later says in the Old T to lay off certain foods he's obviously not going to contradict himself, so in context livestock disease must have been going around and he had to warn people to avoid certain foods for a while.
He was protecting those early humans and often had to talk tough to them like a strict schoolteacher, for example in the OT he also ordered them to kill witches and homosexuals to cull them out of the human race, but nowadays we take a more enlightened view because school's out forever..

I'm 72 years old and have eaten pork and meat all my life and it ain't killed me yet..
As regards Jesus, he trashed the OT's "eye for an eye" law, and he also went around rescuing naughty girls from mobs who wanted to kill them, even though the old law says "kill adulteresses".
The moral is that although the old laws are still there, we should use our enlightened commonsense about whether to apply them or not, and people soon cottoned on..

The reason Noah and his family were saved was because Noah did ALL that God COMMANDED him to do.

God has COMMANDED us in His Law not to eat filthy pigs for our own benefit. The pig was designed to be part of the planetary waste-management system (like everything in the ocean that doesn't have fins and scales). Did Christ do away with The Law/Commandments of God? God forbid.

Every day people question the existence of God, primarily because they believe they are able to get away with things that they know, or should know, are wrong, at least for a little while longer.

NOBODY who is still in open rebellion against God and His Law will be saved from The Fire, just as NOBODY who disobeyed God's COMMANDments during the days of Noah was saved from the flood. Consuming animals that are part of the planetary waste management system is detrimental to the SOUL, because it not only helps to destroy the human body, it is also destroying the planet by depriving it of the very creatures designed to help clean it up. And this is being done at the same time humans are producing record levels of waste, which should prove just how insane we really are.

Jesus said "you make the COMMANDMENTS of God of NO EFFECT by your traditions" (Matt. 15:3-9) and that "he who is not WITH Me is against Me" (Matt. 15:3-9).

I don't agree that duck, ostrich, camel or shrimp are healthy because I believe they are considered to be unclean in scripture. Ducks are diving, web-footed birds which are mostly made of fat. Ostrich are not part of the pigeon and dove family or part of the quail family such as chicken, grouse, peacock, pheasant, ptarmigan and turkey. Camels chew the cud, but their hooves are only partially split. Shrimp are bottom feeding aquatic creatures that do not have scales and are loaded with cholesterol. They are probably not as dangerous to eat as swine since pigs are in a class of their own, but they are still unclean when you look at their digestive system and what they eat etc.

Jesus spoke of whatever dirt was on one's hands that had not been washed, NOT about eating swine flesh. Read the entire passage (Matt. 15:1-20) instead of cherry-picking one verse and then pretending it means something it clearly doesn't.

Agreed. The "water hens" (geese, ducks, swans) all have inseparable fat intermingled into their flesh, to help them float. And the shrimp are bottom-feeders, i.e. also part of the waste management system. Like pigs, shrimp will basically eat anything that fits into their mouths.

Today, slaves are referred to as "employees", who usually work 40-50 years or so just to be able to keep a roof over their head and food on the table. Under The Law, if someone got themselves into financial trouble, and had to go to work for someone else, after 6 years they were given the option to retire, and were given enough livestock to take care of them for the rest of their lives. How many modern day companies do you know with a 6-year plan for financial independence?

In Scripture, a "horn" is a code word that means a "kingdom" (Ps. 89:24), with God's kingdom here on Earth (soon) being the "unique horn" (unicorn). One Kingdom, under God and His Perfect Law, where there is true freedom and justice for all.

Leviticus, specifically locust lawful to eat:

Lev 11:21 Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;
Lev 11:22 Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind.
Lev 11:23 But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you.


Also the word "beetle" appears to be an incorrect translation of the Hebrew "chargol", which is a kind of locust:
