With the world’s eyes on Afghanistan, how does the Taliban represent Islam?

When polled in pre taliban times, 99% of Afghanistan wanted to live under sharia law and 75% thought religious apostates should be killed. I’d never want to live there but saying we want to install a democracy there, well that’s what it would be.
Haha yours is the standard reply by anybody who can't answer an honest question.. :p
You can look through the forum and see the Isis leader who was captured and turned out to be a Mossad agent, etc and so on, I don’t need to waste time because some old man here believes the media

So you found my comment offensive because you 'know people with cancer'

Well, there's no way in God's green Earth i can trump that...well played, well played.
And you brought cancer into it because you found my comments offensive because you know people who have done drugs?

Well played.

Would it matter how he answered? You wouldn't accept it and then go on claiming you have never lost an argument

Well that makes two of you who can't answer my simple question as to why Israel would want to fund ISIS.. :p

No, i found your comment illogical because you're supporting the elites, via their 'allies' in Afghanistan, flooding of nations with Heroin.

Just a guess, but i would say you're anti covid vax and anti elite. Would that be a fair thing for me to guess?

I don't want to have to trawl through the forum or sit through some hour-long vids for answers..:)
Let me throw my simple question open to anybody who wants to have a crack at answering it in just a couple of sentences-
Why would Israel want to fund ISIS?

How am I supporting the 'elites'?
I am supporting poor farmers who supply heroin to drug addicts who cannot get it legally.

I have seen fields of opium poppies in the UK.
If we can have them here, why not Afghanistan?

I am pro decriminalisation of drugs because I don't see how a criminal record helps people who already have enough problems.

No, not anti either of those.
What has it got to do with the decriminalisation of drugs?

As an aside and without wanting to downplay the seriousness of current events for those with a stake in Afghanistan, when the main stream media focus on one subject to the exclusion of all others it should get us wondering what they don't want us to focus on...
This?

Because they are destroying lives. It is no joke. I remember seeing a documentary a few years ago where there are tiny kids lying in the streets, strung out on opium. Perverts prey on these kids. There is a consequence to the West's demands for drugs. The Afghani people will refuse to continue paying the price, and I hope the Taliban will outlaw it.

So you support the Northern Alliance and C.I.A who paid those poor farmers a pittance so that the poorest in our own communities can get hooked on Heroin and all the while making war lords and elitists batshit rich.

Maybe you need to give more thought on how 'decriminalising' drugs should work.

Btw i'm Scottish and just recently we told Bo and co that we were going to open safe drug injecting facilities with or without their approval...now that i applaud....it's just a shame all those junkies in your community will have to die alone anywhere and everywhere.

But hey who cares so long as they're helping the poor Afghani farmers it's all good...eh'

Thanks, but if Israel funded ISIS so they could clobber Assad, that raises the next question- Why don't Israel like Assad?
Perhaps it's because Assad is too friendly towards Christians? Here he is with his dishy wife posing for selfies in a Syrian Christian church-

Well, the americans didn't.
Which was the point if my original post, before you decided to have a bitch at me for no good reason.

Yeah, whatever.
You decide what you thought I said and what you think I support and don't support.

I think self-proclaimed civilised western countries should stop defining good and evil for middle eastern countries, when war crimes have been committed and children have been killed via drones you should be rather happy that it finally stops (I don't think it will though).
Who knows how many US bombings have targeted christians in Afghanistan.
Let's be honest Biden, Macron, Merkel sound like the Antichrist cavalry they don't have any moral high grounds at all.

Of course i'm a christian and I'm preoccupied for my brothers and sisters out there but I think of the example of David in the Bible who was led to become allied with Philistines because King Saul became a mad man leading the kingdom to rebellion toward God.

Let's be honest it's good for humanity that disgusting secular ideals dont get to triumph everywhere, people have their cultures and I wouldn't accept them for myself but I respect those who wants to keep them in their homeland.

At least they have values, the western world have nothing left besides covid trackers.
Very good post. We don't have a single value in America besides consumerism.

They hated what we were doing. They hated the Afghan government which was ridiculously corrupt. They hated our mandatory gender studies programs and female Parliament quotas. Turns Afghanistan didn't really click with neoliberalism. Our own democracy is pretty garbage these days and we're trying to implement it in foreign countries? Oh and don't forget about bachi bazi. A lot of Afghanistan military/government officials liked to r*pe young boys and the US military ordered our troops to look the other way. A big reason the Taliban gained popularity in southern Afghanistan.

Basically our puppet government in Afghanistan was complete garbage and a lot of people found the Taliban preferable.
Which is why we had no business being there

We should execute drug dealers and traffickers like Singapore. The countries with the harshest drug laws have little problem with them.
