Whilst I believe religion is under threat globally, there’s absolutely no way I accept that Christians are the most persecuted in the world.
Palestine is majority Muslim and honestly I can’t see a place facing more oppression and violence purely for existing and pushing back on colonial powers.

Show us the Christian hostages and concentration camps, the mass killings and oppression that Christians are facing. Post your evidence.
Just let them have the victim card. Nothing is gonna convince them otherwise.

There are bigger, more important issues then trying to convince a polytheist that he's wrong. You'll never see the evidence because it doesn't exist. Surely not from any credible source anyway.

I know they won’t post anything credible. They never do. It was the same a couple years ago on here when I was more active. They just regurgitate verses with no reflection or understanding. Look at how Phipps and co. ignored the basic questions I asked, it’s as if they malfunction when you ask them to reflect on the inconsistencies and disparities in their book. They just go into preacher mode but I guess that’s what blind faith does.

Nationalism is just another tactic used to divide the people.
Agreed.

As for Israel's assault on Christianity... this looks more like Catholicism and Hasidicism in the video on p. 2.

Two sides of the same mystical coin, imo. :/

Both groups have their own set of rules + beliefs which deviate dramatically (imo) from Christianity and Judaism. I'm not excusing the rudeness-- if we treat our next door neighbors like garbage because we believe the "elite" care about our cause, due to media attention... we may want to consider the source. Generally speaking, anyway. They're just stirring the pot, as you said--> to divide people.

But Jerusalem is the original ground zero-- and I have no intention of discussing that-- so as far as this thread is concerned, it appears to be more about politics than anything else.
Which is to be expected.
At fever pitch.
At all times.

With that in mind, we probably shouldn't underestimate the Vatican's desire for Jerusalem over and above all parties concerned... just saying.
. . .

The Vatican-appointed Latin Patriarch, Pierbattista Pizzaballa, said that the region’s 2,000-year-old Christian community has come under increasing attack...

In March, two Israelis burst into the basilica beside the Garden of Gethsemane, where the "Virgin" Mary is said to have been buried.
(They also "pounced on the priest" and apparently beat the crap out of him with a metal rod-- maybe iron?)
*quotation marks, mine

In February, a religious American Jew yanked a 10-foot rendering of Christ from its pedestal and smashed it on to the floor, striking its face with a hammer a dozen times at the Church of the Flagellation on the Via Dolorosa, along which it is believed Jesus hauled his cross toward his crucifixion.

No idols in the holy city of Jerusalem!”
he yelled.

ha! :D
Very interesting.
The beating of the priest and the statue occurred at
the Church of the Flagellation.
(I don't believe it.)

Anyway... the statues are not representations of Jesus Christ. He 'he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him.' Is.52
He wouldn't have had long hair, either.
1 Cor. 11:14

We aren't supposed to create idols, statues or paintings of God, anyway.

Some of those renderings on the (double) cross are downright vulgar.

Its not about politics at all. I just can't see how a Christian can cheer on a Zionist while he's literally spitting and beating on another Christian.

But lets be honest. Most of you are godless and could care less about your brother. From you making distinctions of sects because they have to be a certain type of "Christian" for you to give a damn. To @Red Sky at Morning , who is the worst on these boards. Actually has the gaul to put the flag of Israel in his avatar when Israel slaughtered Christians all weekend.

Last time i checked, which was about 5 hours ago, it was 700 dead Palestinians and 4,200 wounded. Lets not forget there is no water or electricity because Israel shut it off so there is a high likelihood of many of those 4k dying.

Yes, there are certainly more Muslims then Christians in Palestine. But this doesn't mean there aren't any there Christians either.
Remember this man?

How many churches are in Gaza? I know of several. But out of 2 million people there is no way there could be a single Christian among them, right? ..Right?

As we speak Israelis are openly calling for complete genocide. and the Christians here... "crickets"

no pow.jpg

Literally several of you are defending them!

Look, idc. I'm tired of calling you alleged followers of Jesus to a basic level of fkn humanity. But you're all dead inside. Either ignoring satan or literally cheering him on.

God will deal with you.

Who did I defend, exactly?
You're skimming; not reading.

TL;DR -- >Takeaway
1. They're no different from each other, from a religious standpoint. And Catholics aren't Christians; they're Catholics. In this case, Roman Catholics.
2. It's a political issue
3. I don't believe the news story.

It blows my mind how Western Christians have their support to Zionism. Jews literally call Jesus a bastard. Have some dignity people.

When I saw the thread I remembered a very recent spitting incident I saw:

Did I just read ‘I don’t believe the news story?’ there’s live footage of mass slaughter and bombings and this idiot doesn’t believe the news story.

1. If they take their religion from the Bible and say they are Christian. Who are we to judge otherwise?
Now I'm not a fan of the Catholics and see alot of evil in their path. But i also see evil in the path of those who worship prophets.

2. No, its a humanity issue. The boy that was set on fire was someones son. The 2 year old baby that was crushed in rubble was one families future.
The entire family that was wiped out due to Israel intentionally hitting civilian dwellings wanted a chance at life.

3. Read what Haich sent you. If you like i can produce dozens of pictures and videos that are not even 2 days old. Incase you haven't noticed I've avoided showing dead children here. But if credibility becomes an issue, then np. I'll send them directly to your inbox.

religion is a form of indoctrination
I was a conspiracy theorist before I became a Christian, I questioned everything, I grew up Catholic and felt I was indoctrinated and I rebelled against anything affiliated with it, read about buddhism and the Masonic principle of us alll being divine, until I felt a need for redemption and I began questioning the possibility of a God, and learnt the truth of the gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit, the biggest conspiracy is that Christ is real… many supernatural affirmations of the validity of my belief in Jesus as the living God later and I’m strong in my conviction of what the truth of the world is…

Soo... in other words, they're saying He was just some guy born out of wedlock; no one knows who His father was.

If this were a true statement, then Protestants really would be idolatrous Polytheists.

Nevertheless, Ultra-Orthodox Jews are now, and historically have been, staunch Anti-Zionists.

Anti-Zionist
Non-Zionist

Definitely worth further review.
