You mentioned "lululemons", i.e. the spandex pants that so many women are wearing today in public, which are UNDERWEAR. Why do women go out in public wearing their underwear? Is it not to try to impress others with their conformity to a new societal norm? And how many women are molested or raped because of them leaving nothing to the imagination about the shape of their temporary human body? It should be correctly seen by all women that going out in public in their underwear is INSANE and is only hurting them, not helping them.
You and I have had our differences, but this I can definitely agree with! I just don't understand this and never will. They aren't doing themselves any favours by going out in public this way!

A central theme of Christianity is to REJECT the world-
"He who is of the earth speaks earthly things" (John 3:31)
"Don't conform to the pattern of this world" (Rom 12:2)
"Don't love the world or the things in it,otherwise the love of God is not in you" (1 John 2:15-17)
"Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth" (Col 3:2)
"A friend of the world is the enemy of God" (James 4:4)
"You were dead when you followed the ways of the world" (Eph 2:1/2)
"You died with Christ from this world, so don't keep submitting to its rules" (Col 2:20)

But sadly, parents, teachers and society preaches just the opposite to kids with stuff like "Do well at school to make a success of your life with a good job, nice car, nice house, lots of money in the bank, blah blah blah", so no wonder kids grow up unhappy, neurotic and spiritually retarded because they don't have that buffer of Christianity between them and the world because a person with no spiritual depth is like a ricketty wagon without springs, jolted by every pebble on life's road-

You don't want to know what a Lulu Lemon is, you're better off haha thanks for responding though, by the way, I haven't heard much from you in a while and wonder if you're still around or not, so many people on this forum are disappearing!
That sounds like quite the frightening experience..people don't know what others really truly go through and how crazy it can be. Glad you're not going through it anymore.
And I can understand watching our weight cause we need to, I was merely addressing the problem with women trying to be thinner than need be just cause of the push for aesthetics in the society and how it can destroy them mentally and physically.
I also agree with you about religion being put into the threads needlessly. I believe in God and Jesus myself, but don't want to see religion hijacking my thread lol
This is why I got a bit iffy with Zakat due to putting stuff about his religion in, too. I got judgemental with him also for saying I practically don't need to talk to others about my problems and just pretty much bottle up everything lol
I finally found out what lu lu lemons are yesterday when Zero Hedge had an article about the company who makes them is starting to lose money and their stock is going down. They had a picture of a woman wearing them. Hard to believe someone would pay that much for them. Personally I can't stand the way they look and wonder why anyone thinks they are attractive. Don't really understand the attraction of the Big Butt syndrome either.

Oh it's such good news they are going down like this! Good, hope the entire company goes bankrupt LOL. Yeah I just don't get it, either. These women just love to follow trends, even if it's a stupid one, and this is it. I don't get why these women need to have the fake bigger butts with the whole tiny waist thing, so I understand what you mean. It seems everything that is superficial is being promoted!

Society is funny in many ways. During the 1980s or 1990s, Mom jeans were popular. Then it got replaced by the low-rise and skinny jeans in the 2000s. Now, the Mom jeans is popular again. Nearly ever young female wears them.

Society can tell people to wear a sack of potatoes and they will if celebrities do.

I don't know what mom pants are to be honest, but low rise jeans were also horrible lol some of us don't have the proper bone structure to pull them off, even if not big.
I agree though that trends, people will follow them without question, even if it's something as ridiculous as a sack of potatoes LOL. It's awful how people don't wear what they want to, but rather what the society tells them to.

The spirit of opression is very active nowdays
Yeah, kids have it drummed into them from an early age by parents, teachers and society in general to conform! conform! conform!, no wonder many people go half-nutty because they don't have the nerve to be different by saying NO to all the bullshine..:)

100% life is not all about grades, career and material things but it can sure seem that way when you have no other purpose. I have seen so many suicidal kids especially from asian cultures trying to achieve their parents unrealistic standards and it breaks my heart. Trying to do well for a higher calling is one thing, but having no deeper purpose in life other than trying endlessly to fit that mold is another.

So true. Even facial features come in and out of fashion. I remember when having thick eyebrows, lips and freckles were practically a social death sentence, now I see ladies drawing them on and find it hilarious!

Mom jeans are a type of jean which has a high waist and are usually baggy or tight leg. In the 2000s, those jeans were ridiculed. Now, Generation Z aka the teenagers of these days think those jeans are in vogue instead of skinny jeans.

Indeed. Not everyone looks good in trendy pieces. For example, if a woman has large hips, the skinny jean won't look good on her. A bootcut or straight leg jean would.

I despise Mom jeans. My hips are too narrow for the look. Oh well.

There are ladies who are draw freckles on their faces? That's crazy. It's amazing the Kartrashian look is still popular.

Oh! Interesting, I see what you're talking about. Yeah, technically, I don't like them, either, I don't wear that.
It does really depend on what body type we have and what works for us. It's sad that most don't realize or know this, or too brainwashed to understand, they just want what they are told to want, and go with it, even if it's not practical. This is why it's good to have different types for different people, and everyone picks what they like and what works for them.

Exactly. No one has the same body type. A short woman would look terrible with flare jeans while a tall one would flatter her. It's all about finding your style and knowing what flatters your body.

The ladies who still skinny jeans are the current rebels in the fashion world. Good for them.

You've posted this about 12 times now. 7 times as Tidal and about 5 times with your cool new name.

You'd obviously been practicing that ridiculous John Wayne walk for a while before you decided to put it on film....I mean, wtf is that all about?

C'mon, If you think there is a single person on this planet who is gonna be impressed with your cherry coke advert for adventurous pensioners you sir are absolutely deluded.

....as you were
