!!Entertain Us - Part 2!!
Heey guys, I wanted to post a follow up to my post about Entertain us and some interesting things that caught my eye.
I wanted to talk about plagiarism and how this show exposes the reality in a oversaturated music business.
The screenshots talk for themselves.
CEO and singer Y00n Jung$hin first puts his composer down and degrades him in order for the composer to be submissive (and if you watch the video, the composer is locked in, deprived of water or food and forced to pee in a bottle until he's finished working)
The duo views some folders presumably filled with music samples out of many some are from J*0*P and *S&*M* if you can read Hangul.
Finally, the confirmation of plagiarism right there. Next time you wonder, when did I hear this before, think plagiarized since it most probably is. Not exclusive for Korea. There's a lot of material about plagiarism and hook melodies on youtube.
In this scene, L.J0e from TT is seen showcasing his self-composed song and another composer who's a sunbae reviews it saying it's good to which he adds a few touches. Guess what happens next.
Okay, not to sound deffensive but this could happen. It's possible with all the overworking 'idols' even their compositions get stolen.
It may seem like this is all shown to make the boys look like victims but there are rarely their sides of the story shown in public imho.
There is another story with N!el in the series. Y00n Jung$hin manipulates some photos of the lead singer of the group to look like he's getting cozy with the ladies in the club and sends the pictures to him and
then shows up as a savior! Very plausible in real world too.
In that way, N!el feels grateful and loyal to Y00n Jung$hin and plans to support him regardless what he actually thinks of him.
If you thought that was all, you was wrong!!
Another member of TT is played by a label mate from mystic - L!*m K!*m so he can get into a dating scandal. This CEO is a major psycho and a big time scammer. Just like most CEO's, he's making the artists his puppets and this is the most realistic picture of it. 'Scandals' could all be fake and arranged so it's better never to believe what the press say. Bribing reports is nothing new and it's also shown in this series as well.
In the end, the striking thing Y00n Jung$hin said after his wrongdoings got discovered got me shook. Worst thing is, what he's saying is true.
At least for men. It's that kind of industry. You get lost for a year, many under 30 go to the army to redeem themselves and everything is forgotten and forgiven. This sentance just shows to say people are sheep and you can manipulate them. These money driven people are always a step ahead and know what they're doing and they'll do anything for money.
