Haha, you think Paul was a narcissist?..
"As surely as the truth of Christ is in me, nobody in the regions of Achaia will stop this boasting of mine" (2 Cor 11:10)
Who wrote this dishonest reply as if anyone was speaking of Paul? Your "self" pretending to be you so it could attempt to divert attention from itself?
Paul was very obviously boasting of the truth of Christ,
NOT deceitfully and arrogantly of his "self" or his body's supposed "swagger", which has now been lovingly pointed out for everyone's benefit, including your own.
2 Corinthians 11:11-15
11:11 Wherefore? Because I love you not? God knoweth [I do].
11:12
But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off opportunity from them which desire opportunity; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.
11:13 For such [are]
false apostles,
deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the Apostles of Christ.
11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
11:15 Therefore [it is] no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness;
whose end shall be according to their works.
Paul very obviously advocated Christ's Teachings of crucifying the "self"
DAILY (
Matt. 10:38;
Mark 8:34;
Luke 9:23;
Luke 14:26-27), and
LIVED them.
Galatians 2:20 My "Self" is crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I (the "Self"), but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
God doesn't want timid lukewarm wimps..-
God says -"So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth" (Revelation 3:16)
Agreed. Nor does God want anything to do with the proud, i.e. anyone who hasn't learned to resist the
satanic urge to brag about their "self".
James 4:6-8
4:6 But He giveth more grace. Wherefore He saith,
God resisteth the proud, but giveth Grace [only] unto the humble.
4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
4:8 Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse [your] hands, [ye] sinners; and purify [your] hearts, [ye] double-minded.
